It is designed for collecting and logging parameters of analogue or digital nature at high speeds. Logging can be triggered by time, time interval, alarms or user defined events and the data can be transferred through the free software or from a central SCADA system. Communication links through all types of modems using Modbus RTU Communication Protocol or through direct serial communication. Choosing a Linux version allows for TCP/IP connection. The IsaGRAF version provides data acquisition AND control in 1 system.

Another great feature of the Micronix Eagle RTU is the fact that it is a modular system. As demonstrated by the pictures below, the Eagle system is a modular system. The basic system consists of a CPU ranging from 386 to 6x86-300 and a Power supply module. Then depending on requirements a series of I/O modules can be added giving you a system which can have from only a few to several hundreds of digital or analogue I/O points which are all easily accessible through the green screw terminals.
