History in brief

Micro Technic A-S was established in 1976 as an engineering company specializing in computer-based industrial automation, implementing custom-tailored turnkey systems in major Danish industries.

Important Milestones

1989: Micro Technic introduced the first PC-based industrial terminal, Micronix Induterm 100

1995: Micro Technic acquired the company Cartaco and obtained the full product right to the No Noise product, which was sold in more than 1 mio. pieces to large OEMs with the PC business.

Micro Technic A-S is an independent supplier of control and instrumentation systems offering turnkey capacity. The nucleus of the company is a staff of a dozen highly skilled engineers, software developers and technicians who are experienced in the computerized control and automation.

During many years of experience in computer-based industrial automation developing customer-tailored systems, Micro Technic A-S has designed an expanding product line from simple control modules to PC-based workstations based on many of the tasks that were continuously observed in projects.

The product line, marketed as Micronix, is now the heart in the turnkey solutions Micro Technic A-S offers its customers. The flexibility in communication, design and peripheral equipment provides an outstanding edge in performance, long-term benefits and reliability. Thus the customer receives an up-gradable system designed to his specific needs - no more, no less.

The Micronix products

Since 1989 Micro Technic A-S has become a well-known manufacturer of industrial automation products, including a full line of ruggedized industrial PC-workstations, data collection- and access control terminals. The comprehensive product line also includes barcode- and magnetic stripe readers, communication systems and utility software.

The product line, carrying the brand name Micronix, has been developed to enable system integration and simple on-site enhancement of optional features and peripherals. Micronix products fulfill the demands for state-of-the art performance.

In doing so, it exemplifies Micro Technic's commitment:

Although all basic models are ready to run, a comprehensive range of optional boards and modules enables each model to be expanded for any type of application. Interfacing to any process and communication through local or public networks, including mobile telephone- and satellite communication and GPS-Navigation allow our products to be installed in all industrial and mobile environments.

The flexibility in the Micronix product line creates many opportunities to design machine controls to specifications set by our OEM-customers. In the future more and more control systems will be based on the PC-technology and thereby replace most of the mid-range/large PLC-systems which has been implemented until now.

Through our many years of experience in this field we have designed our Micronix product line to meet the needs of the machine control systems in the years to come.

Micro Technic A-S have since 1995 been the exclusive European distributor for Vetra Corp, USA who manufactures keyboard-, video- and mouse interface products.

These products are quite complementary to the Micronix product line and are being marketed to OEMs and end-users all over Europe.

Environmental PC-products

- No-Noise® PC-fan noise reduction!

Developed in 1990, No-Noise® have since been installed in more than 1.000.000 PCs by large companies like COMPAQ, IBM, Hewlett-Packard, Bull/-Zenith, Digital and SUN Microsystems.

This product reduces the constant noise coming from the PC's cooling fan with up to 75% ensuring a pleasant PC working environment.
